Connected Apps
Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex can read the projects you pick and, if you let them, edit them. You set each tab to Off, View or Edit. A few things never leave CineFlo, whatever you switch on.
Part of CineFlo Pro, which starts with a free trial. No account yet? You can create one when you connect.
Phone numbers and emails are never shared.
Every assistant connects to the same address.
https://mcp.cineflo.com/mcpOpen CineFlo in the Claude Directory and choose Connect. There's nothing to type.
By hand: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the address and leave OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret empty.
On chatgpt.com, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode. Create a connector with the address, and choose OAuth as the authentication.
Custom connectors work on chatgpt.com in a browser, not in the ChatGPT apps.
Add it from your terminal, then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.
claude mcp add --transport http cineflo https://mcp.cineflo.com/mcpAdd an MCP server with the address. Leave the bearer token and headers empty.
The assistant opens CineFlo's connect page in your browser. Sign in with Google, Apple or your email and password.
Open a project and set each tab. Off hides it, View lets the assistant read it, and Edit lets it add and change things.
You're sent back to the assistant, and it can start on whatever you ask.
Only continue if you started the connection yourself. If someone sent you a link to the connect page, close it.
Connected Apps is part of CineFlo Pro, and that includes collaborators: working on someone else's Pro project doesn't cover it.
New to CineFlo? Create your account on the sign-in page when you connect, with Google, Apple or an email address, and start a free trial there.
Connected apps stay off for collaborators until the owner turns on Let collaborators connect apps. The owner's settings are the most a collaborator can switch on, and a collaborator's assistant never gets more than their own access to a tab.
The connector gives Claude access. The plugin gives it production know-how: twelve skills that make it ask how a scene will be shot before designing coverage, break down a script the way a first AD would, and never guess an address on a call sheet. It uses the same connection and the same switches, and adds no access of its own.
Plans coverage around the project's coverage style and camera package, asking once if those aren't known, and shows you the shots before saving them.
Tags cast, extras, props, wardrobe, vehicles, effects and the rest, scene by scene, reusing what's already in the breakdown.
After a new draft, shows which scenes changed and what that touches in the breakdown, shot lists and schedule.
Groups unscheduled scenes by location, day or night, and cast, and lays them onto shoot days.
Drafts the day's sheet from the stripboard and asks for what it can't know, like the nearest hospital. You send it from CineFlo.
Records what you report from set ("we got 4A") and tells you whether the day will make it.
Turns the breakdown and schedule into department to-dos with owners and due dates.
Logs recce notes the way the crew needs them (power, access, noise, sun path) and links scenes to places.
Builds a mood board for the film, a location or a character from notes, palettes and the references you name.
Numbers the cast the call-sheet way and orders the crew list by department.
Reads the cost report and explains what's over, what's committed and what's left.
Creates a project and hands you the link to import your screenplay.
Nothing is shared until you choose.
Access is set per project and per tab. These are the tabs you can switch on.
The screenplay text has a switch of its own. With it on, the assistant can read the script's scenes. It never sees the title page and can't change a word.
Needs Scenes & Shots on. The shot list the assistant opens inside the chat then shows each shot's reference images, loaded in your browser and never sent to the AI model. On shared projects, the owner decides whether collaborators can turn it on.
In CineFlo, under Settings → Privacy & Data → Connected Apps.
What each assistant did, in plain language ("Added 12 shots to Scene 4"), for the last 90 days. It records which items were touched, not what they say.
Stops every connected app until you switch it off again. Nothing is disconnected and no settings are lost.
Ends one connection, and its access stops within a minute. To use that assistant again, you connect it from the start.
Once you've connected an assistant, each project's Share sheet gets a Connected Apps row with the same per-tab controls. Owners set the collaborator limit there too.
Ask in your own words and the assistant picks the tools. If a tab it needs is Off or only at View, CineFlo tells it which one, so it can tell you.
Here's the treatment for our short, The Long Way Home. Make it a new CineFlo project and add the scenes.
Creates the project, adds a scene for each one in the treatment with its slugline and synopsis, and gives you the importer link for when there's a screenplay.
Build a shot list for Scene 12: a wide to establish the diner, a two-shot at the counter, and close-ups on both of them.
Adds the shots to the end of Scene 12 with size, angle and description filled in, numbered in your own style (A, B, C or 1, 2, 3) the way the app would.
Schedule scenes 4 through 9 on October 14 and draft that day's call sheet.
Adds the shoot day if it's missing, puts the six scenes on it, then drafts a call sheet for October 14 from the stripboard with the scenes, times and cast they need. Nothing is sent: you check it and send it from CineFlo.
Read Scene 7 and tag the props and wardrobe in the breakdown.
Reads the scene, adds the props and wardrobe it finds to the breakdown and tags them in Scene 7. The script text stays exactly as it was.
How is the budget looking? Compare the estimate to complete with what we've actually spent, by account.
Reads the cost report, sums actuals, commitments, estimate to complete and estimated final cost per account, and points out the ones forecast to go over. Nothing changes.
Which camera department to-dos are overdue?
Reads the To-Do board, narrowed to the Camera list and to tasks past due in your time zone, and lists each with its due date and assignee.
An assistant with edit access can create a project from a treatment or pitch you've shared. The project is yours, and it starts open to your connected apps at Edit on every tab, with Script pages on. Change that like any other project.
The assistant gives you a link to CineFlo's importer. You drop in the PDF, Final Draft .fdx or Fountain file, and CineFlo builds the scenes, cast breakdown and script pages as it does for any import. The assistant never uploads files or writes script text.
All 54 tools CineFlo offers an assistant, grouped by the tab that switches them on. Reading needs the tab at View. Changing or deleting needs Edit, and a few also need a second tab, which the description says. None of them can send anything to anyone, and every delete can be restored in CineFlo for 30 days.
Available with any tab switched on.

Create Projectcreate_project | Creates a new project that you own, from a title and optionally a logline, director, DP, producer and company. It starts empty and open to your connected apps at Edit on every tab, and comes with a link to CineFlo's script importer. | Changes · Edit |
Update Projectupdate_project | Edits the project's title, logline and production details (director, DP, producer, company). Only the owner's assistant can use it, and only on a project with at least one tab at Edit. | Changes · Edit |
| Tool | What it does | Access |
|---|---|---|
Get Sceneget_scene | One scene, by id or scene number: slugline, INT/EXT, location, time of day, story day, length in eighths of a page, cast numbers, synopsis and its shots in order. | Reads · View |
Get Shotsget_shots | The shot list for the whole project or one scene, in the order the app shows it, a page at a time. | Reads · View |
Save Scenessave_scenes | Adds scenes or edits them, up to 100 at a time. Only the fields sent change, and scene numbers stay unique. Shoot dates come from the schedule, not from here. | Changes · Edit |
Save Shotssave_shots | Adds shots to the end of a scene or edits them: description, size, angle, movement, rig, lens, camera, cast, status, estimated time and notes. A new shot without a number gets the next one in your own numbering style (A, B, C or 1, 2, 3, skipping I and O if you chose that). | Changes · Edit |
Reorder Shotsreorder_shots | Sets the shooting order of a scene's shots and can renumber them to match, as dragging does in the app. Custom names such as PU1 keep theirs. | Changes · Edit |
Renumber Shotsrenumber_shots | Renumbers a scene's shots in their current order, in your numbering style. | Changes · Edit |
Get Shot Planningget_shot_planning | How the project will be shot: coverage style (classic, long takes, handheld, efficient or stylized), how many cameras, the camera bodies, lenses and aspect ratio, and which of those aren't known yet. | Reads · View |
Save Shot Planningsave_shot_planning | Sets or changes that shot-planning context. Asked with nothing to set, an assistant that can show forms asks you for the answers in a short form and saves them. The answers are kept with the project so you're asked once. | Changes · Edit |
Delete Scenedelete_scene | Deletes a scene and its shots. Its strips come off the schedule too when the assistant can also edit Schedule. | Deletes · Edit |
Delete Shotdelete_shot | Deletes one shot. | Deletes · Edit |
Assistants that support interactive views can show a shot list inside the chat. This tool belongs to that view: the assistant can't call it, and what it returns goes to the view in your browser, not to the AI model.
| Tool | What it does | Access |
|---|---|---|
Get Shot Imagesget_shot_images | Returns links to the shots' reference images for the shot list view to display. The links expire after 10 minutes, and location data is removed from the images. Needs Scenes & Shots at View and Images switched on. | Reads · View |
| Tool | What it does | Access |
|---|---|---|
Get Scene Textget_scene_text | The screenplay text of one scene or up to 40 at once, read-only, each cut near 12,000 characters. Needs the Script pages switch as well. The title page is never included. | Reads · View |
Get Script Breakdownget_breakdown | Breakdown elements (cast, props, wardrobe, vehicles and the rest) and the scenes each one is tagged in, filtered by scene or category if asked. | Reads · View |
Save Breakdown Elementssave_breakdown | Adds, renames or recategorizes elements and tags them into scenes. Tagging a character also puts it on the cast list and on the scene's cast, so that needs Contacts and Scenes & Shots at Edit too. The script text can't be changed. | Changes · Edit |
Delete Breakdown Tagdelete_breakdown_tag | Removes one element from one scene. The element itself stays in the breakdown. | Deletes · Edit |
Get Script Infoget_script_info | The current draft's title, revision colour and date, and which scenes are new, changed or omitted since the previous draft. No script text. | Reads · View |
Update Breakdown Tagsupdate_breakdown_tags | Changes a tag's notes for one scene or all of an element's scenes, or moves a tag to another scene. | Changes · Edit |
Get Script Import Linkget_script_import_link | Returns a link that opens CineFlo's own importer for the project. You drop in the PDF, Final Draft or Fountain file; the assistant never handles it. The link changes nothing by itself. | Link only · Edit |
| Tool | What it does | Access |
|---|---|---|
Get Scheduleget_schedule | Shoot days in date order with each day's crew call and its strips (scenes, single shots and breaks), with start and end times worked out from the call, Day X of Y, the shots of a split scene each day covers, and what is not on a day yet. Day and strip notes are not included. | Reads · View |
Save Shoot Dayssave_shoot_days | Adds shoot days or edits them, one day per date, including the crew call the day's strip times run from. Moving a day moves its scenes with it, which needs Scenes & Shots at Edit too. | Changes · Edit |
Schedule Scenesschedule_scenes | Puts scenes on shoot days or moves them to another day or position, adding the day if needed. It can also split a scene across days, putting just some of its shots and pages on a day. It sets each scene's shoot dates, so it needs Scenes & Shots at Edit too. | Changes · Edit |
Edit Schedule Dayedit_schedule_day | Holds a strip at a set time, changes day or night labels and notes, sets which shots and pages a split scene shoots that day, adds or moves breaks, and reorders a day. It never takes anything off the schedule. | Changes · Edit |
Unschedule Itemsunschedule_items | Takes scenes or single shots off the schedule and removes breaks. The scenes, shots and days themselves are kept, and removed strips can be restored in CineFlo for 30 days. | Changes · Edit |

Everything stored when you connect an assistant, and when it goes. The privacy policy covers the same ground.
| What | What's in it | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Connection record | The assistant's name, the permissions you gave it, your time zone (so "today" lands on your calendar), and when it was connected and last used. A disconnected connection stays marked as disconnected. | Until you delete your account |
| Your choices | Each project's tab settings and the Pause all switch. | Until you delete your account |
| Activity | The tool, the project, the ids of the items touched, the names of changed fields, whether it worked, and a one-line summary. Never what the fields say. Only you can see it. | 90 days |
| Change marks | Items an assistant creates or edits note which assistant did it and when. | With the item |
| Shot-planning answers | Coverage style, cameras, lenses and aspect ratio, readable by the assistants connected to that project. | Until the project or your account is deleted |
| Daily usage counts | How many times each tool was used on your account, and by which assistant. Tool names and numbers only, used to run and improve Connected Apps. | 1 year |
| Sign-in tokens | Stored only as one-way hashes, so a copy of the database couldn't be used to sign in. Each refresh token works once. | 5 minutes for a sign-in request, 1 hour for an access token, 30 days for a refresh token |
Only what its tools return, from the tabs you switched on for that project. Never phone numbers, email addresses, uploaded files, storage links or photo GPS.
Disconnect in CineFlo and access stops within a minute. Removing CineFlo in the assistant's own settings stops that assistant; disconnecting in CineFlo too makes sure it has ended on our side.
Once an assistant has something, its provider's policies apply. Whether chats train their models is your setting with them:
Email support@cineflo.com or use the contact form and choose General App Support. We aim to reply within two business days.
Say which assistant, which project and roughly what you asked. Activity in CineFlo shows which tool ran and when. Never send a password or a sign-in code.
The connector is the connection itself: it lets an assistant read and change your projects, within the tabs you switch on. The plugin adds skills on top, instructions for how production work gets done, like building a shot list or prepping a call sheet. It uses the connector and never has more access than it does.
No. When you connect, CineFlo's sign-in page lets you create an account with Google, Apple or an email address. Connecting an assistant is part of CineFlo Pro, so a new account is offered a free trial on the same page, and the connection finishes when you come back to it. Until then, the CineFlo plugin still helps in the chat and tells Claude how to point you here.
No. The connector works on its own in every assistant. The plugin makes Claude better at the common production jobs, so it asks the right questions and gets the result in shape the first time.
Yes. In Claude, find CineFlo in the Claude Directory to add the connector, or under Customize → Plugins to add the plugin with its skills. The listings connect to the same server and ask for the same per-project, per-tab choices as adding it by hand.
No. Phone numbers and email addresses are never shared, for anyone, even with Call sheets & Contacts at Edit. Neither is your phonebook or any rate card. The assistant sees names, roles, characters, cast numbers, departments and call times.
No. An assistant can't send a call sheet, invite a collaborator or share a project. It can build a call sheet completely, and a person sends it from CineFlo.
Only if you switch on Script pages, which is separate from the breakdown. With it on, the assistant can read the script's scenes, never the title page, and it can't change a word.
No. With Images on, a project's shot reference images appear in the shot list view inside the chat, loaded in your browser for you to see. They aren't part of what the AI model receives. The links expire after 10 minutes and location data is removed. With Images off, the default, they don't appear at all.
Only if you allow it. Connected apps stay off for collaborators until you turn on Let collaborators connect apps for that project, and what you set there is the most any collaborator can switch on. They need their own CineFlo Pro subscription, and their assistant never gets more than their own access to a tab.
No. Activity is per person: you see what your own assistants did, and nobody else does. Changes an assistant makes show up in the project like anyone's edits.
In Settings → Privacy & Data → Connected Apps, Pause all stops every connected app until you switch it off again, and keeps your settings. Disconnect ends one connection for good, and its access stops within a minute. It doesn't undo anything the assistant already changed, and anything it deleted can still be restored for 30 days.
Once CineFlo shares something with an assistant, that provider's policies apply. Whether your chats train their models is a setting with them: Claude → Settings → Privacy for Claude and Claude Code, and ChatGPT → Settings → Data controls for ChatGPT and Codex.
Something was typed into the OAuth Client ID or OAuth Client Secret field when the connector was added. Remove the CineFlo connector, add it again with https://mcp.cineflo.com/mcp, and leave both fields empty. The assistant registers itself.
Changes reach the assistant within about 30 seconds, so give it a moment and ask again. If it still can't see it, start a new chat: an assistant remembers what it found earlier in a conversation, including the project list. A project only appears once at least one of its tabs is at View or Edit.
That tab is at View for this project. Switch it to Edit in Settings → Privacy & Data → Connected Apps. Some changes touch two tabs: scheduling a scene also sets its shoot date, so Schedule and Scenes & Shots both need Edit. On a shared project you also need edit access to the tab yourself, and the owner has to allow Edit for collaborators.
The CineFlo account that signed in isn't on Pro right now. Everyone who connects needs their own Pro subscription, collaborators included. Upgrade, or disconnect and sign in again with the account that has Pro.
You're a collaborator here, and connected apps are off for collaborators until the owner turns on Let collaborators connect apps. Ask them to switch it on in Connected Apps or from the project's Share sheet. What they allow is the most you can switch on.
Pause all is on. Switch it off in Settings → Privacy & Data → Connected Apps and your assistants pick up where they left off, with the same settings.
Your browser blocked it. Allow pop-ups for mcp.cineflo.com, then choose Google or Apple again. Signing in with your email and password doesn't need a pop-up.
